Bio

I am an LMSW & CAADC (certified advanced drug and alcohol counselor) with a concentration in Mental Health/Chemical Dependency from Eastern Michigan University. I did two clinical placements as part of that program. My first internship was at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor working in their intensive outpatient psychiatric program and partial hospitalization program for chemical dependency. My clinical internship was at Affirmations LGBTQ-Community Center in Ferndale as an individual/couples counselor learning how to perform psychotherapy. I formerly worked as a mental health therapist/HIV care coordinator for a community based agency serving those living with HIV. I also worked in an outpatient infectious disease clinic at Beaumont Health System as a Social Worker and as an adolescent therapist/substance use disorder clinician at Growth Works. Currently, I work at University of Michigan/Michigan Medicine as a clinical research therapist in the Department of Psychiatry/Outcome Research Division. I also work as an outpatient psychotherapist at Shanle Psychological Services in Gross Pointe and Lincoln Park, MI. I have my Bachelor's of Arts in Philosophy and Great Books from the Honors College at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a post-master's graduate certificate in drug and alcohol studies from Wayne State University. I am currently a post-master's student in Research & Evaluation at Wayne State University.
