Ron Pritchard, BS, CSAC, CAS, NCACII, owner/lead of Addiction Program Consultants (APC) has extensive background in SUD treatment practice in military and public service sectors. A 30-year Navy Veteran, Ron has worked in the Behavioral Health Field as Addiction Counselor, Homeless Program Manager, Gang Negotiator, and Intercultural Relations Specialist. Ron served 8 years as Head - Addiction Services Programs at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He developed and managed hybrid multidisciplinary programs providing seamless transition of military/veterans with SUD and MH Disorders from acute inpatient to residential and/or intensive outpatient. He developed and managed Homeless Outreach Programs for pre-natal females with Substance Use Disorder in the Public Sector and developed and managed a US Navy Intercultural Relations Program. Now serving in local, state and national leadership positions Ron continues advocating for recognition and parity of certified addiction counselors, particularly in the DOD workforce. The pursuit and advocacy for this goal has become a passion and quasi-full time devotion for Ron. A three time- past- president of the Virginia Association of Addiction Professionals, and NAADAC Mid-Atlantic RVP, co-founder and Faculty Member of Virginia Summer Institute for Addiction Studies (VSIAS), he also serves as the NAADAC Chairperson of the Military/Veterans Advisory Committee (MVAC) .
